Remembering Father’s Day with KEEPSAKES

It’s been one year since we said goodbye.

Today I took out the KEEPSAKES I have to remember you.

Happy Father’s Day. I miss you Dad.

    • Marking the first passing of each important days we used to commemorate together has been difficult. This is the one I dreaded most. Thanks for your support Bonnie.

  1. I am so fortunate to still have both my folks….and your sentiments make me realise I should value it more whilst I still can….great post

    • Honestly Steve tell them you love them as often as possible while they are still here. Thanks for your support on this post.

  2. What a loving memorial…and what a fantastic image…love the black background and the clarity!

  3. Can but agree with all previous comments. My dad has been gone for nearly 25 years but I still think about him. We don’t seem to have our father’s day the same date as you though, we have it in November for some reason.

    • He was a trucker, I chose them for my keepsakes because he thought they were important enough to keep over his lifetime. Will have to check out the bakelite aspect I never thought of that.

  4. A time of sweet memories and longing…so nice you have both these keepsakes and the memories. You have photographed them very effectively!

    • Thanks KarenAnn, it was so bittersweet I am pleased with the result of the image. I must say it took many tries to get one that felt right, I’m still the little girl that wants Daddy to be proud of the things I do 🙂

  5. oh my these are lovely pens, do you not use at least one of them? One year is very recent…such a powerful photo!

  6. It’s the little things that often have the greatest impact………..nicely photographed……..and go ahead and use them……..can only strengthen the connection they hold for you.
