Nice photo PC. I wish was on the lake taking in the solitude.
Glad you enjoyed viewing this!
So beautiful, would like to be there. Love the scene.
Thanks Tony, it was peaceful from where I took the photo too.
perfectly expresses the theme and great range of tones in this image.
Thank you Iris – I am happy the moment translated so well!
Perfect Fishing companions.
Great shot. Love the composition and reflection.
The serenity looks perfect. I hope the fish leave him alone.
From all the times I watched him cast the line I think the fish did leave him to his thoughts.
That border on the top with the reflections and that one clearly defined ring of ripple behind the boat make this unique. Add that to the lone meditative pose of the man in the boat and this is a great composition. Might I suggest cutting out a bit of the the foreground? It’s much brighter than the rest, and perhaps draws they eye away from the subject and that visually interesting upper border.
Glad you enjoyed this mostly. Funny you mentioned cropping out some of the foreground. I had originally tried that and the overall scene didn’t feel balanced because of the continuum of ripple effect was removed.
Very nice reflection and take on the theme.
Thanks Gisele – glad you enjoyed.
Lovely serene shot and great reflections…top work
Thanks Steve glad what I saw at the moment came through so well!
Looks very peaceful.
Yes it was, and thanks for stopping!
Beautiful shot! Looks like he’s totally relaxed and into the fishing. That could be my hubby, he likes to fish too. Have a great day!
Beautiful picture, so full of atmosphere !
Thanks so much!
Beautiful. Love the tones and the processing of the gorgeous water.
One of those perfect moments in life, glad you stopped by and enjoyed!
Another painterly effect(?)…..love the reflection of the grasses in the water and for me the man in the boat appears to be lost in his own world….kind of like he’s not really aware of his surroundings…. a double isolation!
Not exactly painterly – Topaz B&W and Topaz Simplify/Buzsum. The image actually didn’t take a lot of process just a couple tweaks I learned from Topaz Webinars.
Nice reflections. A good photo with an excellent frame and exquisite light. I was delighted to see this delightful visual poetry. Greetings.
Thanks So Much Leovi! Glad what I witnessed translated so well for so many people.
Stunning…so peaceful and serene…wish I were out there with him! 🙂
Wonderful tones and what a beautifully serene capture this is.
Thanks Kala it was one of the rare days where all components merged.
It’s a lovely scenery, so calm, serene and peaceful. The deep and warm colour tones almost jumps out of the frame. The grass and the reflections of the grass along the upper edge of the picture are fascinating. Wonderfully captured.
Thank you Otto, this was a rare scene for this locale.
The lighting and mood captured is wonderful…would love to be there soaking up the serenity!
It was just one of those perfect endings to a day! Glad you enjoyed.
Great capture! Love the reflections.

There is nothing like sitting in a boat on a calm body of water, thinking about life, and waiting for that fish to bite! Great photo! And a quick note of thanks for signing up to follow my blog! –B
