The MULTICOLORED cat in my life

Each day requires inspiration to keep plugging along and for photo challenge theme fulfillment. Today my inspiration was triggered by Karen Ann’s Fast Food post.

No, there is anything fast taking place in this picture but the size of Elizabeth’s belly shows food is a large part of her life. Fast or slow doesn’t matter to her, just keep the food flowing.

Back to the inspiration. This MULTICOLORED girl has 3 hobbies, eating, grooming and sleeping. This image probably doesn’t need much interpretation as to which hobby she is engaged in at this moment!! She was doing her best impression of Goldie Locks. I was in the empty spot in the foreground and when I got up she moved in and was pretending she had been there all along. All that in less than a minute!

If you love the antics of cats; and who doesn’t stop by Karen’s site and enjoy her cat fancy at Simple Little Pleasures http://gerberbaby1.wordpress.com/

That is a gorgeous coat and I love the pose! My Snow is more advanced than your cat, she has five hobbies, eating, grooming, eating, sleeping and eating, hence her paunch is larger too. LOL

I’m not sharing the extra hobbies with these kids, they will expect more kibbles, lol. Maybe we should teach them to email and they can meow across the pond 😉

Sweet looking calico! Love her colors.

Hey, thanks in part to you writing awhile back regarding Angus’s licking habit (and your cat getting a hormone injection) we decided he needed a senior blood panel done, with a thyroid check. Turns out he is hyper-thyroid so he is on medication. The vet doesn’t know if his self cannibalization will stop or not, but glad we caught this early!

Thanks Steven! I’ll put money on it that Angus was not too happy about his trip to the vet 😦 – our kids want him to know that they hope his new med helps him feel better soon 🙂 we want to see lots of him in posts!

OMG…thanks for the kind words…I’m so far behind these past few weeks that I had to give up my blog viewing pleasures…so missed it. Love this Elizabeth kitty…she is colored like my Peanut kitty who disappeared over the winter. She had wandered onto our farm with her head stuck in a plastic peanut butter jar. Threw a rug over her to catch her and pulled the jar off. She never left my side after that when I was outside and was here about 3 years. Hate to think that the coyotes might have gotten her so I just imagine she moved on to the next farm where they milk cows and she can have fresh milk daily. Keep up the cat vignettes! Your blog is such an enjoyable diversion!

Your welcome! Just sharing how I feel! Peanut is one farm down I’m sure of that. As a child my first cat disappeared during the winter months, took forever to stop looking for him.
