The Disabled American Veterans also known as DAV have a PASSION providing free services to disabled veterans and families in obtaining medical care and benefits they have earned and deserve.
The DAV Flight Team provided the demonstration of “Panchito” as their contribution to the expo in Lakeland Florida for the 2011 Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In. This photo shows “Panchito” a B25 twin engine WW II combat aircraft and a team member on the ground returning from flight. The wingspan is nearly 68 feet, the length is 53 feet, 16 feet high and has a maximum speed of 272 mph.
There is something so powerful about those propeller planes and to think of flying them and being shot at…yikes!!

Those spinning props would have me heading the other way as a photographer, let alone as that brave crewman. Stunning Photo!

That plane is in remarkable shape. I always thought those gunner windows would be like sitting in a dome car of an old train, until the bullets started hitting it!

I think the windows are bullet proof. lol

Great capture of the props spinning – I like to see some motion in them rather than stop-action. Also, I like the way the airman is captured without obscuring any part of the plane. Wonderful, wonderful photo.
