One of natures Zany creatures

A shout from outdoors, “come here you have to see this!” What a ZANY looking crystalline with tiny twigs on it.

The length and diameter is approximately that of an index finger.

This bit of nature needed be identified. Have you ever Google searched something that you had no idea what it was?

Several days of persistence paid off, this is a crystalline for a Bagworm moth and they can defoliate your landscape.

Look what finally made it to my KITCHEN!

It took a long time for this pineapple to get to my KITCHEN but it finally made it!

Patience isn’t exactly a virtue in my life but persistence is and the pineapple top I planted 3 years ago has finally matured.  I knew it was time for the harvest when I went to check on the progress and it had fallen off the plant!

To see the growth process of this beautiful ripe pineapple here is the link for the original post:

Garden NUISANCES

A NUISANCE corn snake made this gardener scream and run like a school girl when it emerged from the Australian fern I was pruning. The tree trimmers working a couple houses away got such a chuckle out of the commotion this creature caused that they stopped by to comment when their job was finished.

A YUMMY mouth watering treat growing in the garden

After waiting three long years the dream begins to show growth above the spiky leaves

Who would have thought something so prickly could end up being sweet and YUMMY.

Word has it that when grown from the top of a pineapple the plant produces a smaller fruit.
