The pilot of this Bi-plane performed incredible aerial acrobatics. First sight of this maneuver was confusing it appeared the plane was spiraling out of control, this frame shows the SPIRAL trail of smoke from this part of his performance at 2011 SUN ‘n FUN Fly-In in Lakeland Florida at Linder Airport.

it was a day show. there was so much smoke in the air I used auto color correction and this was the result. sort of liked the added drama. the letter ‘m’ was the same processing.

amazing, but air shows still scare me (I had to do an emergency/crash landing – down the slides, etc. I still fly, but any thought of planes out of control make me nervous)
