People Forget that there were Brave Americans Fighting in Europe and in Asia, even before Pearl Harbour. It all comes to seeing the writing on the wall.
I didn’t take your original comment to mean anything bad or negative, when it comes to this sort of subject you and I are on the same line of thoughts. 🙂
Dreadful indeed. It’s odd but I just took this pic last weekend while visiting an air museum and had no intention of posting because war is controversial but a news report marking this as the 71st anniversary of the event prompted me to share.
Some things are never to be forgotten, and are events that changes a whole nation. Generally we need to acknowledge and remember history so that human beings will not repeat their mistakes. But atrocities will never cease to exist, unfortunately, as resent events have just shown us.
A moving memorial…

I had uncles who thought it was important enough to put their lives on the line for freedom during this part of history.

Me too, I just thought it important to state that a Lot of Yanks were more farsighted than their Government when it came to fighting tyranny.

It is difficult to acknowledge such harsh history yet it is paramount we remember indeed.

Another of those days that live in infamy. Reminds me to ask my parents what they remember of the day before they are gone.

Oh yes ask the questions before there are no answers so many times I would like to know family history and there is no one to answer me.
