It’s no ORDINARY day when a hurricane is forecast.

For most people it is no ORDINARY day when a hurricane is in your weather forecast. Local television news crews are ready to broadcast breaking news at Cocoa Beach, Florida on Thursday when hurricane Irene reached a category 3 strength traveling over the Bahama Islands. The outer bands of Irene stretched to the state of Florida while the storm was 300 miles off shore.

    • Fortunately there were no incidents at this beach. Today I am hoping the people north of here that are in the path of Irene have sense to stay safe.

  1. The weather forecasting technology is amazing as well as these state of the art equipped vehicles. Nice capture of your local scene.
