Holidays are joyous and they also spark memories of time gone by. Something as simple as a pbj reminded me of moments FROM MY PAST. Mom used to make peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches for me as I sat at the kitchen counter, she always asked, “do you want butter on this?”. It’s been years since I thought of this until recently when I made this sandwich and decided to put butter on it.

Mom put butter on a all sorts of food she dished up for me. I was skinny as a stick and she tried all the mom tricks to put weight on me.

Every know and again I get a hankerin for one of these but leave the butter off but Mom has been my thoughts and it was like a homage showing appreciation for all the little things she did just because she loved me.
