Just opposite the Old Market SQUARE in the historic district of St Augustine is another much smaller square which has a life size replica of Ponce de Leone, all 4 feet 11 inches of him. This is near the place he stood in 1513 when he claimed Florida for Spain.

Great use of perspective. For some reason I’m imagining he is saying, ” And over there we will build Ponce de Leone Land. It will feature the Magic Fountain Ride for the kids and we’ll sell the Florida Fizz Mineral Water to the adults”.
