For most people it is no ORDINARY day when a hurricane is in your weather forecast. Local television news crews are ready to broadcast breaking news at Cocoa Beach, Florida on Thursday when hurricane Irene reached a category 3 strength traveling over the Bahama Islands. The outer bands of Irene stretched to the state of Florida while the storm was 300 miles off shore.
We only have 2, 7, 9 and 10 no 6 even in an emegency!

This 6 must have blown in on the wind because the call letters on their remote broadcast truck weren’t familiar.

Fortunately there were no incidents at this beach. Today I am hoping the people north of here that are in the path of Irene have sense to stay safe.
