I knew I had to get to the other side of the fence so off I went up the street to the stop sign, heading down the hill, took the first right turn and followed the winding road to end up on the other side of the fence where the line was down. Ugh, huff, huff, huff I should have driven the car.
The fire department response time was amazingly fast. The NOISY sirens got louder as the trucks got closer. The ground was still smoldering when they arrived. The situation was well under control but the live wire needed to be secured until the power company arrived and the smolder need to be extinguished. The firefighters made a thorough check of neighboring trailers to verify no hot ash drifted into nearby areas. I am happy to report no one was injured and there was no loss of personal property.

When the camera is left behind something spectacular always happens to make one think ‘I wish I had my gear’ – don’t leave home without it!!
