Seeing the Good Year Blimp flying above the ocean shoreline is hardly an UNFORGETTABLE sight if you go to the beach often. The slow and quiet flight overhead is fun to watch because of the size of this airship and how it manages to cruise at what appears to be a snails pace.
I did take some ‘fill the frame’ photos with the blimp as it passed overhead but I chose another view to post because it had a more interesting look. By including the lone fishing pole on the shore as the main subject and the dirigible just entering the scene evoked one of those ironic/jockular moments in life. Do You See What I See?

Your composition makes for a unique top notch image…I love how the fishing pole breaks the image into 2 diagonal scenes….that blimp is very cool!

Very neat! The blimp looks like a fish in the sky with a rod ready to catch it!!

It is a pretty scene even without the blimp. I think it looks like the blimp is patrolling overhead and maybe there was a “no fishing” area and the fisherman took off leaving his/her pole behind.

Were you fishing for the GoodYear Blimp, or did you just hook it by luck?
