HIDING a pipe organ isn’t that difficult

This pipe organ sits beneath the bow tie area inside the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel. The HIDING organ was spotted while standing on the opposite side of the balcony. Natural curiosity lead  to where this beautiful instrument was tucked away. The natural light coming in from the glass tower above highlighted the warm tones and richness in the wood.

The  Holtkamp Organ Company manufactured and constructed it with wood. The juxtaposition of this hidden gem was incorporated into the geometric flow of the structure.

A beautiful work of art…I once saw a video featuring the building of these instruments…very awesome crafting and your photo does it justice. Like seeing it from the different angles.

Looks like the feet have to be as nimble as the hands to produce the sounds you hear. There is wonderfully rich light on your subject.
