ASYMMETRICAL

Standing under the Cocoa Beach pier during a low tide while enjoying the feeling of the sand slipping away from beneath my feet as the water moved in its ebb and flow I looked up and for the first time noticed the ASYMMETRICAL design of the structure. Another example of looking at something over and over, yet not ‘seeing’.

funny you mention abstract feel… one of the images posted in the beginning of this challenge is from under the same pier (different day) which I converted it into an abstract.

HOLY WATERS!!! I see sand, I see dancing droplets of water, i see a city skyline in the first wave nearest to you I see levels of water as they leave the scene, could they be steps to the distant land???? Outstanding Pearl… Outstanding or Outsanding….

I am slightly off of center, but I absolutely love under the pier shots. There is a whole other world under the pier, so thanks for taking me there!

I love that feeling of sand and water washing over my feet, the underside of the pier and its pylons also gives me a feeling of imbalance, glad you looked up.

Wish you were here… don’t be too envious, water temp isn’t 8o° I’m only in to my knees, and that is when I get wacked by a wave!

Wonderful how the one straight line goes on for so long while the closer piles look a bit wonky. I envy too that you can be in the water.

That’s what caught my eye (wonky-ness) about the lines, I’ve been cognizant of linear placements and thought I was crooked, lol.

Because I am drawn to piers, I love this shot. I’ve always found it difficult to balance the light when under a pier, so well done. You’ve given us so many things to look at in this image. The sea spray adds further interest too. Well spotted, shot, and processed.
